Inter-parliamentary contacts are being intensified in Turkmenistan through new initiatives


The Chairman of the upper chamber of the Turkmen Parliament Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov drew attention to the need for new initiatives to intensify contacts between the legislative bodies of other countries, identify the main areas of joint activities and constructive cooperation with the state structures of friendly states.
This became known during a meeting summing up the interim results of the work of the national parliament with the participation of legislators and some members of the Turkmen government, TDH reports.
It was noted at the meeting that Turkmenistan is carrying out activities aimed at creating conditions for restoring trust and building relations based on equal mutual respect between people of different nationalities and different political views.
At the moment, Turkmenistan has formed inter-parliamentary groups with 46 countries of the world, which contributes to the effective study of international experience in the field of lawmaking.
