The funds saved from the administrative reform will be invested in the social sphere

The Chairman of the upper chamber of the Turkmen Parliament Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proposed to direct the savings from the administrative reform to the social sphere – construction of schools, kindergartens, and healthcare institutions, TDH reports.
At the meeting on improving the country's public administration system, proposals were considered for the abolition of some districts, the unification of villages with nearby settlements, the reduction of local administrative staff, etc.
In his report, Minister of Finance and Economy Muhammetgeldi Serdarov noted that during the implementation of proposals concerning administrative-territorial units, it is projected to save 28 million manats.
In turn, the vacated administrative buildings and other institutions following the reform will create additional opportunities for the economy, creating prerequisites for increasing state budget revenues.
