The cycle of OSCE round tables on the topic of gender perspective has ended in Turkmenistan


The OSCE Center in Ashgabat has completed a series of events on gender perspective for law enforcement officers of Turkmenistan with a final round table organized in the northern region of the country at the Dashoguz Hotel, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper writes.
The staff of the OSCE Ashgabat office together with the deputies of the Turkmen Parliament, members of the Institute of Law and Democracy and the Union of Women of Turkmenistan discussed the relevance of the implementation of gender policy, focusing on the priorities of equality of men and women in access to education, healthcare, legal protection, taking into account their professional needs and interests.
During the discussions, reports were heard on ensuring the integration of a gender perspective for law enforcement officers.
This event is held as part of a series of meetings of members of the organization with representatives of state authorities of Turkmenistan.
