Turkmenistan intends to double the export of natural gas to China and bring it to 65 billion cubic meters per year with the laying of the fourth line of the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reports.

It is noted that agreements have already been reached between Turkmenistan and China on the development of the second stage of the Galkynysh field, which is one of the largest in the world. By the end of 2021, Turkmenistan supplied 34 billion cubic meters of gas to China.

Turkmenistan is the largest supplier of "blue fuel" to the domestic market of China. In turn, Chinese companies actively cooperate with the Turkmen fuel and energy complex.
