Turkmenistan and UNDP implemented projects in the field of healthcare for $100 million


The Government of Turkmenistan, together with UNDP, has implemented various projects in the field of healthcare totaling $100 million.
This was stated by Tomica Paovich, Deputy Permanent Representative of UNDP in Turkmenistan, during the session "The role of Turkmen diplomacy in international relations" of the International Conference on Healthcare in Ashgabat, the official account of the UNDP Representative Office in Turkmenistan on Instagram reports.
The conference also discussed plans to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, in particular, Ensuring a healthy lifestyle and promoting wellbeing for everyone at any age, which includes the objectives of universal health coverage, access to quality basic medical services, medicines and vaccines.
The Government of Turkmenistan is implementing health projects aimed at achieving the SDGs with the support of the Global Fund, the World Bank, the World Health Organization and other development partners.
