The Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Turkmenistan Ruben Kharazyan stressed the importance of resuming direct flights between Yerevan and Ashgabat, and outlined the prospects for bilateral cooperation between the states in his article on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, published on the pages of the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.

The Ambassador also said that the passivity of trade and economic relations attributed to the pandemic has already passed, and the parties are determined to expand economic cooperation, including in new areas.

According to Kharazyan, the trade turnover between the two countries for seven months of this year amounted to 10.1 million US dollars. It is planned to open trading houses in Ashgabat and Yerevan and hold the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Armenia, which were previously postponed due to the pandemic.
