The annual international contest of journalists from Central Asian countries MediaCAMP AWARD, held in Kazakhstan, announced on Monday the winners among the finalists. One of them, and the only one from Turkmenistan, was Aina Shirova, the author of ORIENT. ORIENT readers are familiar with the materials of Aina, who knows how to tell in an unconventional and interesting way about famous people in Turkmen art – musicians, artists and writers.

At the awarding ceremony of the winners of the competition on October 10, the name of Aina Shirova was announced as the winner in the nomination "Time to Create" for the material "Zarudina's operative workers and their united circle of students".

This year's MediaCAMP AWARD was attended by print media journalists, photographers, videographers, illustrators, and Internet content creators. Competitive works in different genres and formats were submitted in six categories (“Close-up Time”, “Time to Win”, “Time to Create”, “Time for the Young”, “Time to Understand”, and “Theme of the Year. New Time”) in Russian, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Tajik, Turkmen, Uzbek.

The MediaCAMP AWARD competition is being held for the fourth time, it involves both beginners and experienced journalists. Last year, more than 600 applications were submitted, and this year the organizers received 821 applications from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. This is a record number of participants in the competition during the festival.
