Ashgabat and Doha are planning a visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Qatar
The possibilities of organizing the visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Qatar were considered at a meeting at the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan, held on Friday. This topic was discussed during the talks by Deputy Foreign Minister Berdyniyaz Myatiev and Chargé d'Affaires of the State of Qatar Mohammed Meskhel Al-Otaibi.
Diplomats stressed the importance of contacts at the highest and high levels in the development of interstate relations. Topical issues of bilateral cooperation, including the expansion of trade, economic and investment cooperation, were discussed at the meetings, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan said.
The release of the Qatari Foreign Ministry about this meeting says that the charge d'affaires also handed over to the deputy minister a written message from Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov regarding bilateral relations and ways to support and develop them.
