In Turkmenistan, state property will be transferred to trust management

The Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan has prepared the Procedure for transferring state property to trust management on a competitive basis. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Khodjamyrat Geldimyradov at a government meeting on Friday.
The document defines the rules and conditions of the competition for the selection of trust managers, creating conditions for attracting professional management teams to state-owned enterprises, using the potential and resources of the private sector on a contractual basis on the principle of outsourcing.
Trust management is considered as an alternative to privatization. The advantage of this option is that the transfer of state assets to trust management does not entail the transfer of ownership to the manager, and the highly qualified management involved helps to increase the efficiency of the use of state property.
