Young Turkmen tennis players – third in Central Asia
ITF Asia 12&U Team Championships, which are qualification for the team tournament of the Asia, has finished in Ashgabat.
Both boys and girls teams from Turkmenistan, took the third place in the overall team standings. Selim Pirdjikov, Imran Ahundov, Mahmut Mahmudov, as well as girls – Aisha Bikbulatova, Meryem Muhammedova, Mariya Atamuradova did their best to be at the Top-3 in the region.
The tennis players from Kazakhstan were undisputed leaders of the competition, who left no chances to Uzbek team. Last year, the athletes from Uzbekistan also lost to the Kazakh team.
After the solemn ceremony of awarding and honoring the winners, the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan signed a Memorandum on Cooperation, which would further strengthen the sports contacts between the two neighboring countries.
