Melania Trump Brings Tech Giants and 57 Countries into Global Children’s Initiative
U.S. First Lady Melania Trump presented a major expansion of the international “Fostering the Future Together” programme on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. The initiative’s key objective is to support the younger generation worldwide by advancing modern technologies and accessible education.
The number of countries participating in the coalition has increased to 57. Representatives of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Republic of Korea, the Philippines, Poland, Ukraine, Türkiye, the United Arab Emirates, Panama, Canada and other countries have joined the project.
The main event of the meeting was the establishment of partnerships with major technology companies, including Google, Amazon, Intel, Adobe, Starlink and Zoom. Apple CEO Tim Cook and PayPal CEO Enrique Lores also took part in the meeting. The private sector will help integrate artificial intelligence into education, improve digital literacy and provide schools with connectivity.
Emphasizing the importance of joining forces, Melania Trump noted that collective action by countries can open up new opportunities, shape policy and improve people’s lives.
As part of the further development of the coalition, a series of major international forums is planned for 2026, including a meeting of G20 first ladies in the United States, an ASEAN conference in the Philippines, as well as regional summits in Poland and Saint Kitts and Nevis.
The “Fostering the Future Together” programme, first launched during the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, brings together heads of state and IT industry leaders to create an advanced educational environment for children.
