The President of Turkmenistan made a trip to the Mary region

On Friday, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov went to the Mary region to participate in the celebrations on the occasion of the opening of the premises for 3,000 seats for mass celebrations next to the Turkmen White Yurt building, as well as to get acquainted with the progress of ongoing agricultural work, the official Turkmen press writes today.
Stopping at the sowing areas of the farming association "Turkmenistan" of the Vekilbazar district, the Turkmen leader talked to the tenant-grain grower Agageldi Erniyazov. The head of state asked the farmer about working conditions, water supply, the quality of seeds and fertilizers provided, and payment for the harvest.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov cut a sheaf of ripe ears in the tenant's field, giving a symbolic start to the wheat harvest, and then watched the work of grain harvesting agricultural machinery. Examining the areas of the field freed from grain, the Turkmen leader stated that high-yielding combine harvesters do their job efficiently and quickly, harvesting crops without loss.

On the field of the tenant, the head of state met with a researcher from the Agricultural Research and Production Center of the Turkmen Agricultural Institute, who spoke about ongoing long-term research.
It was reported that new coarse-grained, high-yielding and disease-resistant varieties of wheat were bred at the Center. From each hectare it is possible to collect 55-60 centners of a new variety of wheat grown in 200-210 days, the agronomist said, after which he asked the head of state to name them.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov proposed the names "Berkarar" and "Galkynysh" to new wheat varieties, emphasizing that they correspond to the spirit of today, and wished agronomists new success in their important work.

Later, the Turkmen leader took part in the opening ceremony of the premises for 3,000 seats for mass celebrations near the Turkmen White Yurt building, similar to which was built in all regions of Turkmenistan.
Having cut the symbolic ribbon, Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in a festive sadaqah organized in the new building, which is given in connection with the recently performed small pilgrimage (Umra Hajj) to Mecca and Medina by the head of state.

Before the start of the sadaqah, the President of Turkmenistan said that the sacred teperrik presented to him during the pilgrimage was exhibited in the Gurbanguly-Haji mosque in the Mary region, and then it would be transferred to mosques in all regions of the country so that residents of each region could bow before the shrine and pray.
