Putin awarded the Order of Friendship to Serdar Berdimuhamedov

Russian President Vladimir Putin presented the Order of Friendship to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the Kremlin on Friday. The corresponding decree was signed by the Russian leader back in May.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov was awarded the award "for his great contribution to strengthening the strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan".

The presentation took place before the signing ceremony of bilateral documents, after which the heads of state made statements to the press.
