On Monday, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received First Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations and Chairman of the UN Group on Sustainable Development Amina Mohammed, the official Turkmen press writes today.
A high-ranking UN representative arrived in Ashgabat as part of a tour of Central Asian countries before participating in the second High-level International Conference "Water for Sustainable Development", which will be held in Tajikistan a few days ago.
The parties discussed possible areas of cooperation within the framework of the Agenda on Sustainable Development for the period up to 2030, which are closely linked to long-term national programs of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan.
