The second meeting of the Working Group on combating human trafficking to be held in Ashgabat


The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the USAID-funded Safe Migration in Central Asia Program will host a two-day hybrid workshop on Strengthening National Anti-Trafficking Policies.
The event, which will be attended by international and national experts and representatives of Turkmenistan interested in this field, will be held on May 26-27.
The workshop will discuss the recommendations outlined in the 2018 UNODC legal analysis of human counteraction legislation and proposals prepared by international and national experts on improving legislation.
Also, the participants of the meeting will share best practices in combating human trafficking and get acquainted with the practice of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in this area. In addition, the UNODC report on the analysis of legislation in the field of combating human trafficking will be discussed.
The first seminar "Strengthening National Anti-Trafficking Policies" was held on 15-16 March.
