Turkmenistan takes part in Astrakhan forum "Caspian 2022"


The international scientific forum "Caspian 2022: Ways of Sustainable Development" is being held in Astrakhan from May 22 to 24. Experts of international organizations and academies of sciences of the Caspian countries, rectors of universities, representatives of Rossotrudnichestvo, authorities, the business community and media structures take part in the discussions.
The forum is aimed at solving such important tasks as the creation of a global innovation and scientific space and the integration of the Caspian and Central Asian countries into it. The main issues of the event are the development of key import substitution projects in shipbuilding, IT technologies and transport infrastructure, as well as youth policy.
The event was solemnly opened by the Governor of the Astrakhan region Igor Babushkin. "The territory of the Caspian Sea opens up new opportunities for interaction and international cooperation. In modern realities, this direction is strategically important," the head of the region said.
Official representatives of the Caspian littoral states, including the Consul of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan) Guich Garayev, also addressed the participants and guests with welcoming words. He spoke about the importance of constant dialogue in addressing the development issues of the Caspian countries.

"This partnership creates the foundation for future creative work," the consul said. – The Caspian Sea is a promising territory for expanding international trade and other spheres of activity. Thanks to the work of the Forum, we will be able to take steps to strengthen international cooperation, determine joint actions for the near and long term."
Guich Garayev noted the great contribution of Governor Igor Babushkin to the development of comprehensive relations with Turkmenistan, stressing that the Astrakhan region is a promising partner for Turkmenistan, and good-neighborly relations are built on the basis of mutual interests and respect.
Participants from Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and other countries also joined the forum sessions online. The head of the International Cooperation Department of the Central Council of the Makhtumkuli Youth Organization, Merjen Mukhammadova, spoke from Ashgabat.

She became one of the speakers in the discussion "International Youth Initiatives", where the best youth and student practices and projects aimed at socio-cultural adaptation of students were discussed. Issues of socially significant projects and initiatives, volunteer and charity events in universities of the Caspian countries and youth organizations were also raised.
On the youth day of the forum, experts and participants discussed trends in youth policy, the topic of increasing socio-cultural activity, the development of youth entrepreneurship, science and scientific mentoring. There was also a master class "The experience of promoting and developing media spaces", where the ways of interaction between media and readers, changing and redistributing the functionality and content of media channels, the use of statistical measuring tools in relation to the new media space, as well as ways to stimulate media activity were considered.

As a result of the event, agreements were reached on holding events aimed at forming a positive attitude of foreign citizens to the country of study through the organization of language clubs, the development of regional associations of foreign students. A proposal was put forward to organize ethnofestivals, attend creative, theatrical performances, film premieres, exhibitions aimed at studying the cultures of the Eurasian countries
