The President of Turkmenistan discussed partnership projects with the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan

On Friday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar, in a conversation with whom the priority of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, oil and gas, industrial and agro-industrial sectors was confirmed. They also discussed a specific topic on the supply of Turkmen gas to Kazakhstan, the implementation of a project for the construction of a grain terminal in Turkmenistan.
The day before, the President of Turkmenistan received a message from the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who, in particular, noted that the implementation of joint projects in the field of energy, logistics, industry and agriculture could become a serious impetus for bringing bilateral partnership to a new level. .
Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev recalled that during a visit to Turkmenistan in the fall of 2021, the leaders of the two countries agreed on the prospects of joint projects in the fuel and energy complex, as well as the construction of a grain terminal on the Turkmen-Afghan border.
In this regard, the Kazakh leader noted that for the qualitative study of these projects, he is sending to the Turkmen capital a delegation headed by First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar.
The arrival in Ashgabat of a solid government delegation of Kazakhstan and the purposeful sequence of the negotiation process not only on general issues, but also on specific joint projects, makes it possible to expect that in the foreseeable future, the once planned plans for the supply of Turkmen gas to Kazakhstan and the construction of a large grain storage facility on the territory of Turkmenistan will become real.
