Turkmen leader expresses condolences on death of UAE President
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent condolences to the leadership of the United Arab Emirates on the death of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
In the telegram, the Turkmen leader noted the outstanding contribution of the UAE President to the steady progress of the country and the development of constructive, mutually beneficial relations with the countries of the world.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, also sent condolences to the leadership of the United Arab Emirates. He stressed that the memory of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan will forever remain in the heart of the Turkmen people.
The President of the United Arab Emirates passed away on Friday May 13 at the age of 73 after a long illness. The country has declared national mourning, which will last 40 days. Within three days, the work of ministries, government agencies and private sector enterprises will be suspended in the UAE.
