Ashgabat to host international seminars on sustainable development of the Caspian Sea
International training seminars of the cycle "Caspian Sea - sustainable development and management" will be held in Ashgabat from May 16 to 27. The trainings, which will be held by the Institute of the Caspian Sea (Turkmenistan) and the International Institute of Oceans, will be attended by specialists from relevant structures of Turkmenistan and representatives of the embassies of the countries of the Caspian basin.
The cycle of seminars is aimed at developing cooperation in the Caspian region with an emphasis on the protection of marine ecosystems, sustainable development of coastal communities, and advanced training of employees of relevant services.
The resolution on holding seminars was signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. According to the document, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Institute of the Caspian Sea are responsible for organizing thematic training events of the international format.
