Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent congratulations to Emmanuel Macron
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a congratulatory telegram to Emmanuel Macron, who won the presidential election in France.
The Turkmen leader expressed confidence that friendly relations between Turkmenistan and France would develop in the interests of the peoples of both countries, and wished Emmanuel Macron success in his endeavors at the highest state post.
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the French Republic reported that incumbent President Macron scored 58.5% in the second round of presidential elections, his rival, the leader of the far-right National Rally party, Marine Le Pen - 41.4%.
The President of the French Constitutional Court will officially announce the election of the President for the next five years on April 27.
