The President of Turkmenistan will send a video message to the participants of the 4th Asia-Pacific Water Summit


A video message from President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will be broadcast at the 4th Asia-Pacific Water Summit on April 23. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov at a meeting with the Ambassador of Japan to Turkmenistan Hiroyuki Yamamoto, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
The summit will be held on April 23-24 in the Japanese city of Kumamoto. Earlier in telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishidoi, the Turkmen leader noted that sustainable water use is the most urgent task of the entire international community, which must be addressed by joint efforts.
Today, the President of Turkmenistan also sent a congratulatory message to the leadership of Japan on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the countries, in which he stressed that Ashgabat is interested in expanding bilateral cooperation.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov also expressed the readiness of the Turkmen side to create all the conditions necessary for the continuation of partnership and active work of Japanese companies in the implementation of large industrial projects in Turkmenistan.
Earlier, with the participation of companies from Japan, Turkmenistan implemented such projects as the world's first plant for the industrial production of gasoline from natural gas, as well as a gas turbine power plant in the Lebap region with a capacity of 432 MW.
