Presidents of Turkmenistan and Russia exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations


President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Russian President Vladimir Putin exchanged congratulatory messages on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
The Turkmen leader stressed that Ashgabat attaches particular importance to the steady development of relations with Moscow, and good results have been achieved over the years of cooperation between the countries.
Berdimuhamedov called for the continuation of work on promoting direct contacts between the business circles of the two countries and building up interaction between government structures to unlock all the potential.
The President of Russia in his message noted that over the past decades, relations between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation have reached the level of strategic partnership, while relying on the good traditions of friendship and mutual respect.
Putin expressed confidence that through joint efforts it would be possible to further build up partnership between Turkmen and Russian in all areas, which fully meets the interests of the friendly peoples of the two countries.
Yesterday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the composition of the Turkmen-Russian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation from the Turkmen side in order to implement the agreements previously reached between the countries and further develop relations.
