The President of Turkmenistan set new tasks for the government


After the formation of the new government, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the vice-premiers with instructions, outlining the key areas for the further work of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Watan news program of the Turkmen State Radio and Television reports.
Addressing the Deputy Chairman for Economic, Banking and International Financial Organizations Muhammetguly Mukhammedov, the head of state noted that he faces important tasks for the further development of the national economy, its transfer to a market economy.
The President instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to take the necessary measures to increase the investment reserves of the Central Bank, as well as to strengthen work in the field of providing bank loans for the development of the manufacturing sector of the national economy.
Deputy Prime Minister for Science, Education, Health and Sports Sapardurdy Toyliyev was instructed to give priority to the development of the digital education system, provide students with high-quality electronic educational materials, and provide them with access to digital learning tools.
Addressing the Deputy Chairman for Culture and Media, Myakhrijemal Mammedova, President Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan should be recognized in the world as a country with high spiritual and creative potential.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shahym Abdrakhmanov, who oversees the fuel and energy complex in the government, was instructed to complete the construction of the transnational gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI), continue work on the development of the giant field Galkynysh and other promising sources of valuable raw materials, as well as increase the volume of foreign investment in the oil and gas sector.
Deputy Prime Minister Esenmyrad Orazgeldiev, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, was tasked with increasing the production of the main types of agricultural products by improving the farming standards, the latest scientific achievements and rational water use.
Addressing Deputy Chairman for Construction, Industry and Energy Charymyrat Purchekov, the head of state Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that his main task at present should be the development of industry.
The President instructed Purchekov to continue working on attracting foreign investment, creating joint ventures, developing the electronics industry and establishing the production of computer equipment. The vice-premier should also ensure the promotion of the Ashgabat City project and strengthen control over the implementation of the National Rural Program, the head of state said.
Vice Prime Minister Chary Gylydzhov, who oversees entrepreneurship, trade and the textile industry in the government, was instructed to increase the export of domestic products abroad and expand cooperation with foreign partners.
Touching upon issues related to the textile industry, Berdimuhamedov noted that the colossal funds invested in its development should bring appropriate results. Urgent measures should be undertaken for reconstruction and modernization of obsolete textile factories and other production facilities.
The attention of General Director of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers Mammetkhan Chakiev was drawn to the construction of new railway lines and the modernization of operating ones, since a large number of foreign countries are interested in using their transit potential. In this regard, the country's railway lines should be brought into line with international standards as soon as possible, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov was instructed to continue developing the Concept of the foreign policy course of neutral Turkmenistan, which is consistent with the long-term Program of the country's socio-economic development for the next 30 years.
Addressing Deputy Prime Minister, Secretary of the State Security Council Charymyrat Amanov, the head of state noted that the tasks facing the military and law enforcement agencies of Turkmenistan would later be considered at a meeting of the State Security Council.
Also, all members of the government were instructed within a month to submit candidates for the positions of heads of state institutions subordinate to them.
