Head of India Ram Nath Kovind will visit Turkmenistan on April 1-4 at the invi-tation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, reports Min-istry of Foreign Affairs of India.

This will be the first ever visit of an Indian President to Turkmenistan, the infor-mation emphasizes.

High-level talks are expected during the visit, during which issues of bilateral and regional cooperation will be discussed. One of the topics will be the implementa-tion of the results of the India-Central Asia summit.

As a result of the meeting, it is planned to sign a number of agreements and mem-orandums of understanding.

Also, one of the topics of negotiations may be the implementation of the Turk-menistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project.
