Serdar Berdimuhamedov takes office as President of Turkmenistan

The inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took place at the Rukhyet Palace in Ashgabat, the official Turkmen press reports.
In accordance with the law, after taking the oath as part of the inauguration ceremony, the elected head of state officially takes office. In the presidential elections held on March 12, Serdar Berdimuhamedov won 72.97% of the vote.
