A briefing dedicated to the election of the President of Turkmenistan was held in Seoul
The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Korea held the briefing dedicated to the election of the President of Turkmenistan on March 6, 2022.
Diplomats of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Korea, as well as Turkmen students and citizens of Turkmenistan living in Korea attended this event.
During the briefing, the diplomats briefed in detail about the upcoming important political event of the country - the general elections of the President of Turkmenistan, which will be held on March 12 in a transparent and democratic way in full compliance with the requirements of international law and the national legislation.
Nine candidates have been registered for this highest state position in Turkmenistan. In accordance with the Electoral Code, candidates have equal rights and opportunities to conduct election campaigns.
As it is well known, preparations for these large-scale events are underway inside the country, as well as in diplomatic missions abroad, which allow our citizens to vote for their chosen candidate.
The total number of polling stations for the Elections of the President of Turkmenistan is 2618, out of which 41 stations are located abroad.
