U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a new federal task force called the Super Intelligence Force to coordinate government policy on artificial intelligence.

Trump said the group will bring together federal efforts aimed at maintaining U.S. leadership in advanced technologies. It will also engage with consumers, public interest and religious groups, critical infrastructure providers and AI companies.

Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton will lead the task force. Federal Trade Commission Chairman Andrew Ferguson, Pentagon Chief Technology Officer Emil Michael and Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor will also serve in leadership roles. The group will report to Trump and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.

The announcement followed a White House meeting between Trump and executives from major AI companies, where industry leaders signed a voluntary accord calling for stronger internal controls and reviews of AI models.

Trump also signed an executive order directing federal agencies to use the terms “Super Intelligence” and “SI” instead of “Artificial Intelligence” and “AI.”

According to CCTV+, the new task force is intended to become a central mechanism for coordinating U.S. federal policy on AI, bringing together government agencies, technology companies and other public stakeholders.
