Campaign work continues in the regions during the presidential elections in Turkmenistan
The election campaign continues in Turkmenistan, within the framework of which propaganda work is carried out in the regions. On March 1-2, presidential candidates held meetings with representatives of the electorate in different cities of the country.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited Mary on Wednesday, where he presented his electoral program to the voters of the region, aimed at strengthening and diversifying the economy, improving the social and living standards of the population.
Specifically, in the aspect of the Mary region, he focused on the tasks of fully automating industrial processes at the Galkynysh field, increasing electric power capacity and creating new jobs, stimulating business and rural entrepreneurship, road construction to improve internal communications and connectivity with other regions of the country.
On March 1-2, in the city of Anau (Ahal region) a series of meetings of voters with candidates from Lebap - Perkhat Begenjov, from Mary - Kakageldi Sariyev, from the Balkan region - Berdymammet Gurbanov and from the Dashoguz region - Maksat Odeshov were held.
Answering questions, they explained and concretized the theses of their program, which includes plans for industrialization and a large cultural and humanitarian component.
In parallel, on Tuesday and Wednesday, meetings were held in the city of Turkmenbashi with Khydyr Nunnaev from Ashgabat, Maksatmyrat Ovezgeldiyev from Ahal, as well as deputy head of the Mary region Agadzhan Bekmyradov (Agrarian Party) and Babamyrat Meredov (Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs).
They addressed the audience with a speech, and then answered the voters' questions and assured them of their desire to serve the Motherland and the people.
Candidate programs to some extent cover all areas and sectors of the country, its social sphere, culture and foreign policy. Particular emphasis at meetings with voters is placed on the development of a particular region.
