Sergey Lavrov will hold talks with the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan in Moscow

On February 22, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will hold talks with his Turkmen counterpart Rashid Meredov, who will arrive in Russia on a working visit. This was announced by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova at a briefing on Wednesday.
The parties plan to discuss key topics of Russian-Turkmen cooperation, topical issues of the regional and international agenda, as well as interaction in bilateral formats. “These are the CIS, the UN, the OSCE and, of course, the Caspian Five,” Zakharova said.
“We consider the upcoming visit as an important component of a set of measures to strengthen bilateral relations, which is being implemented within the framework of an agreement between our countries on strategic partnership. It was concluded on October 2, 2017,” the diplomat added.
