According to the results of 2021, growth was recorded in all spheres of the economy of Turkmenistan - State Statistics Committee


The volume of natural gas production in 2021 amounted to 83,773 million cubic meters; “blue fuel” was exported by 34.8% more than the year before.
Electricity production in Turkmenistan increased by 11.6%, and its export increased by 36.4%. The main automotive fuel - gasoline - was produced in the country by 0.5%, and lubricating oils - by 7.8% more than in 2020. Growth in cement production amounted to 4.5%.
At the end of last year, the output of bakery products increased by 6.3%, fish products - by 2.1%, sausages - by 9.8%, confectionery - by 7.35 and pasta - by 4.1%.
Cotton products - yarn and fabrics - in 2021 were produced more by 24.8% and 6.4%, respectively.
In agriculture, there was also an increase in the production of fruits and vegetables compared to 2020: vegetables - by 5%, fruits and berries - by 2.6%, potatoes - by 9.2%, meat and milk - by 0.9%.
The private sector of Turkmenistan over the past year was able to increase the production of pasta by 12.9%, sausages - by 9.1%, confectionery - by 8%, milk and dairy products - by 6.7%, vegetables - by 5.2%, fruit and berry products - by 7.5%, eggs - by 1.2% compared to the year before.
In addition, Turkmen entrepreneurs began to produce 33.2% more plastic and fiberglass pipes.
As for the freight turnover by all modes of transport, its figure amounted to 50335.7 million tons-kilometers, and the passenger turnover in 2021 was equal to 28236.9 million passenger-kilometers. Communication services provided to the population ensured an increase in revenues by 10.4% compared to 2020.

Such figures were announced by the Chairman of the State Committee on Statistics Silap Velbegov at an expanded meeting of the government of Turkmenistan held on Friday.
In conclusion, the head of the State Statistics Committee spoke about the trial population census conducted last year, in which new digital technologies were applied for the first time, and which became one of the stages of preparation for the complete population and housing census of Turkmenistan, scheduled for 2022.
