Berdimuhamedov: The priority in the development of Turkmenistan is to improve the living conditions of people


The priority in making important decisions on the development of Turkmenistan for the next 30 years is to improve the living conditions of people, to achieve stable economic growth of the country, said President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, speaking at an extraordinary meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty (People's Council) Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan.
The head of state also highlighted the task of developing the non-state sector and transferring the economy to market relations, for which broad support for entrepreneurship is envisaged.
Regarding the foreign policy course, the president said that in the coming decades, Turkmenistan will focus priority efforts on five targeted strategic directions. These are ensuring peace and security, developing, and promoting neutrality on the world stage, building up and diversifying foreign economic relations, promoting sustainable development in every possible way and promoting the humanization of international relations, bringing high standards of morality, morality and justice into them.

This is a long-term vector of foreign policy, and the fundamental principles of the foreign policy line of the Turkmen state remain unchanged, Berdimuhamedov emphasized. At the meeting, the results for 2021 were summed up and the program “Revival of a new era of a sovereign state: the National program for the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan for 2022-2052” was adopted.
The meeting was attended by elected members of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, deputies of the Mejlis, heads of state authorities, political parties and public organizations, heads of regional administrations and local authorities, honorary elders of the people, representatives of all segments of the population.
