Turkmenistan and Austria to expand economic cooperation in private sector

Board members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) held an online meeting with the head of the Austrian Federation of Industrialists Georg Knell on Tuesday, May 4th. The meeting was also attended by the head of the Trade Office of the UIET in Vienna. During the negotiations, relevant information was provided about the Federation of Austrian Industrialists, which numbers more than 4500 companies representing such sectors of the economy as: industry, manufacturing, infrastructure, industry and banking services. The Austrian companies expressed readiness to expand cooperation with Turkmen partners in various areas, including industry, construction, investment, etc. The members of the Austrian Federation expressed great interest in participating in projects in Turkmenistan and their desire to visit Turkmenistan as soon as the situation with the pandemic is resolved to meet with relevant high-level representatives and discuss specific details of joint projects. In turn, the Turkmen counterparts informed the Austrian colleagues about the trends in development of the country's economy, its investment climate, contributing to the development of relations in the field of economy, trade, investment and others.
