Large companies will incorporate into a consortium for investment in Turkmen economy

Large foreign companies investing in the economy of Turkmenistan, intend to join into a consortium. It was touched upon at the video meeting on April 28 between president Berdimuhamedov and heads of several companies, as the official Turkmen press informs. The Turkmen leader welcomed the start of the dialogue in this direction, having stated readiness to consider all proposals of businessmen. As a connecting link in cooperation of Turkmenistan with foreign companies Berdimuhamedov proposed to choose company "ARETI". It has more than 25-year-old experience of partnership with official Ashkhabad to serve as the guarantor of strict observance of high requirements which are shown by the Turkmen government. The business proposals at the video meeting were presented by general director and partner of legal company "King&Spalding" Andrew Hruska, and also co-founder and main investment director of company «Rizvi Traverse Management LLC» Suhail Rizvi. The presented projects concerned developments of energy sector of Turkmenistan, improvement of investment climate of the country at the expense of perfection of legal base, and also the investment into information technology, as is informed in the official press of the government. President Berdimuhamedov positively estimated proposals of partners and informed that he will charge the state departments to explore the presented materials on each of projects for making conclusions and contracts on them.
