Afghanistan is ready to step up the implementation of economic projects with Turkmenistan

During a constructive conversation, the parties discussed topical issues on the bilateral agenda, and also considered key areas of Turkmen-Afghan cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

Vepa Khadzhiev expressed the vision of the Turkmen side on current events in the neighboring country and in the region as a whole.

The parties expressed their readiness to advance the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline, the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) transmission line and the railway from Turkmenistan to some provinces of Afghanistan.

Among the priority issues were ensuring stable development on Afghan soil and the possibility of integrating the country into large-scale economic, energy, transport, and communication projects of regional significance.

Turkmenistan declared its readiness to promote the establishment of an appropriate dialogue and the creation of conditions for the early establishment of peace, harmony, and unity in Afghanistan.

The Afghan side expressed special gratitude to the leadership and people of Turkmenistan, who provide regular support to the neighboring country.
