The border trade zone between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan will stimulate business cooperation
This initiative will allow realizing the potential for interaction between entrepreneurs of the Balkan region of Turkmenistan and the Mangystau region of Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan is interested in strengthening trade and economic relations with Turkmenistan. In 9 months of 2021, the trade turnover between the countries reached $143 million. This is 11.7% more than in the whole of 2020.
At the talks between President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Ashgabat in October this year, it was proposed to hold annual business forums between representatives of the Balkan and Mangistau regions.
At the same time, it was mentioned about the possibility of creating an automobile cargo terminal in the planned zone of cross-border trade between the regions.
