At the 25th meeting of the ECO Council of Foreign Ministers, the prospects for cooperation between the countries of the region were considered


The foreign ministers of the countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) met in Ashgabat on November 27 to discuss the prospects for cooperation in the region and create conditions for building up mutually beneficial partnership.
The meeting participants paid attention to the issues of enhancing investment activities in the member countries, the creation of free trade and economic zones, which echoes the Concept of Turkmenistan's chairmanship in the ECO for 2021.
The heads of the foreign affairs agencies of the ECO countries considered the mid-term review of the ECO Outlook 2025, as well as the adoption of the Charter on the establishment of the ECO Center for Clean Energy. Also at the meeting the annual reports of specialized agencies, affiliated bodies and regional institutions of the organization were heard.
Following the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the ECO and the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP).
The participants of the meeting paid special attention to the preparation for the upcoming tomorrow XV ECO Summit, which will be held in Ashgabat.
