The President of Iran will go to Turkmenistan for participation in the ECO summit


President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi will go on Saturday to Turkmenistan for participation in the summit of leaders of the countries-participants of the Economic Cooperation Organization, which will take place on November 28 in Ashkhabad.
As reports IRNA, President Raisi whom President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited, will head a high-ranking political and economic delegation of the country.
It is expected that he will explain the position, proposals of Iran to strengthen regional, and international relations, especially removal of obstacles and increase of level of cooperation between ECO member countries.
President of IRI will also hold meetings with his counterparts to explore possibilities of expansion of bilateral relations.
ECO - the regional organisation consisting of Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan as full members.
Turkmenistan as the country, which chairs this year in ECO and hosts the summit of heads of the states-participants of the Organization, carries out preparation for it at the highest level.
Within the basic actions, the session of the Council of ministers of foreign affairs and also a business forum of the countries-participants of ECO will be also held.
