The international experts in the field of new media held training for Turkmen journalists
In the building of the State News Agency of Turkmenistan a three-day online course on the topic: «New media, digital journalism and media literacy» was held and in it international experts and journalists of Turkmen mass-media took part.
The training was organised by IWPR in Central Asia with support of the Embassy of Great Britain in Ashkhabad and assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Begaiym Adzhikeeva, coordinator of the project on development of new media and digital journalism in Central Asia a acted as moderator of the webinar.
Trainers from the media school Cabar.asia – famous experts of new media: Adam Tivort (Great Britain), Vsevolod Pulya (Russia), Alexander Gorohovsky (Ukraine), Ayzada Toma (Kyrgyzstan), Marat Mamadshoev (Tajikistan), Tara Todras-Whitehill (USA), acquainted participants with all variety of new trends in the global media sphere.
During three days participants learnt the language of new media, their formats in the century of social networks, modern tools of check of the facts more close. Such themes as logic and common sense application in struggle against fakes, ethical standards of journalism, and the techniques of storytelling – narration of stories in news were also revealed.
The intensive program of training included also presentations in which particular attention was given to visual language and tools of new media: Canvs.com and Tilda, interview during the epoch of social networks, long reads - to the format of giving of journalistic materials on the Internet.
