Two new medical centres equipped with hi-tech technologies were opened in Balkan region


Two medical centres have supplemented the network of establishments of public health services of Balkan region - on Wednesday in Turkmenbashi city an infectious diseases hospital was opened and in Makhtumkuli district a multifield clinic started to operate.
Deputy-Chairman of the Cabinet Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who supervises affairs of development of the western seaside region of the country in the government, took part in the opening ceremonies of these projects.

The new infectious diseases hospital in Turkmenbashi represents the hi-tech medical institution including twelve specialised units, equipped with advanced technologies of manufacture of famous companies of Europe and Asia. Qualified specialists were staffed by the hospital.

The clinic in Makhtumkuli district is a new word in the health services of the rural population. It has a hospital for 50 beds and 30 outpatient beds, a service of first aid and possesses the best modern medical equipment of wide spectrum and highly qualified doctors, laboratory assistants and other experts.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who spoke during the solemn commission of new hospitals, underlined that people health protection, providing of access of population of the country to both urban and rural medical services at level of high international standards, is one of the priorities of the state policy of Turkmenistan. He also personally familiarised with arrangement of wards and units of medical centres, their technological possibilities, conditions for patients and work of the personnel.
