With tears from recognition of love to Turkmenistan


Right after reception of the head of the foreign policy department of Austria by the President of Turkmenistan, ORIENT took an interview with head of the Austrian-Turkmen society Neda Berger who also participated in this meeting.

– Today deeply esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, despite his busyness, found time for meeting with Michael Linhart in which I had the luck to take part.
His Excellency President of Turkmenistan and Federal Minister of European and International Affairs of the Austrian Republic, perfectly realising not used resource of bilateral interaction, in detail discussed perspective vectors of Austrian-Turkmen partnership.
Realisation of this potential in industrial, energy and transport-communication spheres, and also in public health services system in mutual opinion is capable to make positive impact on regional and international processes, to give an impulse to the accelerated restoration of national economies in the Eurasian continent, step by step to bring them out from the condition of prolonged stagnation.
And owing to professional interests it was pleasant for me to hear during interested conversation discussion of issues of further development of cultural interaction between Austria and Turkmenistan. The head of the state deeply respected by me in detail spoke of those successes, which were reached in joint work on realisation of projects in the cultural sphere.
And not only this. The conversation continued in the aspect of necessity to bring to a new level of bilateral dialogue in this important sphere, to the development of which President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gives particular attention. And I was convinced of it repeatedly.
I am sincerely grateful to the Turkmen leader for such relation to our activity. Also I can assure with absolute confidence that our small, but the amicable collective of the Austrian-Turkmen society in which structure with enviable enthusiasm high professionals of two countries work, will put a maximum of efforts to bring cultural-humanitarian interaction to the level, worthy our people which have entered bright in history of world civilisation.
This very day during the meeting with the head of the Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov Mr Michael Linhart underlined that cooperation between the European Union and Turkmenistan is an important direction.
He told that the world economy has strongly suffered from the pandemic. But light in the end of the tunnel as he noted, is already visible. And Mr Linhart expressed hope that we can reach pre-crisis level if we will make efforts. And our government came out to the international arenas with a new initiative which named «Refocus on Austria» - ReFocus Austri. Within the limits of this initiative, our embassies and consulates worldwide organise business events, business actions to stimulate economic projects.
And today such forum was held in Ashkhabad which is loved sincerely by me where I was not after a long two-year break. And it for the loving person - the whole eternity, - Neda Berger told unexpectedly deeply moved.
– Flying up to Ashkhabad and having seen it from above, tears began to run by themselves as though I after long separation have come back home, - she admitted, brushing away one more teardrop which ran at this moment …
