Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Austria will make a visit to Ashkhabad


Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria Michael Linhart will make a visit to Ashkhabad within his trip to countries of Central Asia. He will visit four countries of the region - Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan till November 9 inclusive.
In the centre of attention of meetings with high-ranking representatives of the governments will be the situation in Afghanistan and expansion of bilateral economic relations.

«As the closest neighbours of Afghanistan, the countries of Central Asia play a key role in crisis overcoming. Therefore, my trip to the countries of Central Asia is expression of solidarity and offer to work together to fight against international terrorism, organised crime and human trafficking. I also would like to clear that we will not turn away neither from the people of Afghanistan, nor from our Central Asian partners», - Linhart said on the threshold of his trip.
Accompanied by the business delegation Minister of Foreign Affairs Linhart took part in the first economic forum of EU-Central Asia in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, in addition to actions within the business initiative ReFocus Austria, which purpose is foreign trade strengthening.

Kyrgyzstan where he will meet on Friday President Sadyr Japarov and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ruslan Kazakbaev became the first country which the head of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Austria visited. On Saturday, his trip has proceeded in Tajikistan where Linhart carried out negotiations with vice-prime minister Davlatali Said and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin.
Sunday and Monday the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria will be in Uzbekistan. There he will meet Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov and during visit to Samarkand governor Erkinjon Turdimov. The trip comes to the end with his visit to Turkmenistan on Tuesday. In Ashkhabad representatives of the Austrian business, which will carry out negotiations on their areas, will also arrive.
