A large factory for iodine manufacture will be modernised In Turkmenistan


President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved the project on modernisation of the iodic factory "Balkanabat" in the western region of Turkmenistan. There innovatively equipped manufactures, and existing wells with sources of iodide-bromine waters will be erected - thoroughly reconstructed.
The Turkmen leader accepted such decision on Thursday during the meeting of the government after the report of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet Charymyrat Purchekov on activity on manufacture increase iodide-bromine production concerning the category of the liquid export goods.
The large foreign companies working in the sphere of building of the chemical enterprises, repeatedly addressed State Concern "Türkmenhimiýa" in possession of which is the factory "Balkanabat", with proposals on modernisation of this enterprise for the purpose of increase in manufacture of technical iodine and the bromine claimed in the international markets.
The head of the state charged Purchekov to hold the tender, actively involving the foreign partners possessing experience and technologies of building of innovative enterprises for release of technical iodine, bromine and corresponding production.
The chemical enterprises operating now in Turkmenistan, far not in full use the possibilities on processing of the richest natural source of raw materials of the country taking the fourth place in the world on stocks of iodine and fifth - on its manufacture.
Experts believe that realisation of the program of complex development of deposits iodide-bromine waters, accepted in Turkmenistan in 2001, will allow the country to enter into three of the largest manufacturers of iodine in the world.
