Iran to start clinical trials on second local vaccine

Clinical trials of a second locally manufactured COVID-19 vaccine, called Razi COV-Pars, have started in Iran, Iranian media reported.
According to the head of the Razi Company, the vaccine will be tested on 133 volunteers in its first phase. A dose of the vaccine would be injected into the muscle and the second phase would be injected 21 days later, while an inhaling booster of the vaccine would be sprayed inside the nose 51 days after the first injection.
Earlier, the Iranian officials announced the first Iranian vaccine, COVIRAN Bereket, successfully completed its first phase of human trials that began on December 29, 2020.
