Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates have signed a number of memorandums and cooperation agreements
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Minister of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates in the headquarters of Expo 2020 Dubai. In their presence the ceremony of signing of some agreements and memorandums of mutual understanding between two countries in various spheres of economy, including in the field of investments, ports and energy there took place.
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan highly appreciated the signing of bilateral documents, having underlined importance of expansion of possibilities of partnership between the United Arab Emirates and Turkmenistan, as transfers WAM.
During the meeting was considered the condition of relations between two countries, and also a number of other issues representing mutual interest.
The package of the documents signed between two countries, included the memorandum of mutual understanding in the field of port operations and logistics between one of the largest world port operators DP World (Dubai Port World) and the international seaport of Turkmenbashi.
The credit agreement between the government of Turkmenistan and the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development for financing of the project of creation of the chemical plant on manufacture of mineral fertilizers in the city of Turkmenabad was signed.
The agreement on creation of the joint investment company in Turkmenistan between the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development and the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan was also reached. The State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan also signed the memorandum of mutual understanding with the Department of Economic Development of Dubai.
The memorandum of mutual understanding was signed between the State Energy Corporation "Turkmenenergo" and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC - Masdar. And one more memorandum - between the government of Turkmenistan and Nasdag Dubai Limited Company.
President Berdymuhamedov left record in the book of guests of honour Expo 2020 Dubai in which he expressed satisfaction with participation of Turkmenistan in this global action, having underlined durability of relations between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates and readiness to bring them to wider horizons.
