The President of Turkmenistan and the vice-premier of Russia discussed cooperation priorities


President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov received on Thursday Deputy-Chairman of the Russian Federation Alexei Overchuk.
The Russian vice-premier who arrived in Ashkhabad at the head of delegation of his country, conveyed greetings from Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin. Then the parties exchanged opinions on cooperation potential, having allocated among priorities such directions as trade, fuel and energy sector, agriculture, chemical industry, transport-communication sector, processing branches, informs Turkmen TV channel «Altyn asyr».
The great value of contacts in the format of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian commission on economic cooperation, co-chairman of which is Overchuk and tasks, which should be solved on this dialogue platform, were concretised.

Interlocutors also paid attention to interaction in struggle against the coronavirus pandemic and development of relations in this area between profile systems of two countries.
The audience passed with participation of the Russian ambassador Alexander Blohin.
On the same day, October 7, the meeting of co-chairmen of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian commission on economic cooperation - vice-premiers Serdar Berdymuhamedov and Alexei Overchuk with participation of heads of some ministries and departments of Turkmenistan and Russia took place.

During negotiations efficiency of practice of direct business contacts of Turkmenistan with regions of the Russian Federation, in this connection activization of the given approach to interaction was marked.
Co-chairmen of the IC signed the Program of economic cooperation between the governments of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation for 2021-2023.
