During the visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan, 23 documents were signed


At the end of the negotiations, a ceremony of signing documents took place, as well as an exchange of signed documents between the heads of ministries, departments and regions of the two countries. In total, during the visit, 23 documents were signed, covering almost all areas of multifaceted Turkmen-Uzbek interaction, the website of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
Important documents were signed to further expand cooperation in the fields of transport, transit traffic, water-saving technologies, as well as justice, social protection, statistics, quarantine and plant protection, science and culture.
The leaders of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan adopted a Joint Statement, which reflects the main results of the summit meeting, identifies promising areas for further strengthening the Turkmen-Uzbek strategic partnership.
Among them are the Agreement on the establishment and regulation of the activities of the Turkmen-Uzbek border trade zone, providing for the creation of a Trade Center in adjacent territories, the Agreement on increasing the volume of trade and expanding mutually beneficial partnerships between enterprises and companies, the Protocol on organizing the exchange of preliminary information on goods and vehicles transported across the customs border.
The agreement on simplifying visa procedures for representatives of the business community and the Protocol on amending the Agreement on mutual trips of citizens as of November 19, 2004 will undoubtedly create favorable conditions for entrepreneurs of the two countries and serve to strengthen interethnic harmony.
