Berdimuhamedov and Mirziyoyev agreed to develop industrial cooperation


President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and head of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev agreed to use available resources for the development of industrial cooperation, according to the official website of the Uzbek leader.
During the talks between the heads of state, it was reached an agreement on the development of cooperation in various industries, including the car assembly, production of electrical products and household appliances, chemical goods, production of building materials, processing of cotton fiber and fruit and vegetable products, etc.
It was decided to prepare an appropriate "road map", the creation of which was entrusted to the co-chairs of the Intergovernmental Commission on Bilateral Cooperation. It will also reflect the specific implementation mechanisms of other agreements as well reached during the meeting.
The heads of state also agreed to intensify transport interaction and develop transit corridors, expand the use of the unique capabilities of the International Sea Port in the city of Turkmenbashi in the Balkan region of Turkmenistan.
The President of Turkmenistan arrived in Uzbekistan on October 4. On the same day, a Turkmen-Uzbek economic forum was held in Tashkent with the participation of representatives of government agencies and business communities of the two countries.
