Turkmen media and government agencies study interaction experience during a pandemic


Interaction of government agencies with the public and the media during a pandemic and health emergencies is the theme of a two-day online seminar organized by the OSCE Center in Ashgabat.
The training is attended by employees of departments for information contacts and public relations of such institutions as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the migration, customs and border services, the Ministry of Defense, the State Commission for Emergency Situations, as well as the Ministries of Education, Justice, Labor and Social Security, Parliament.
The media community is represented by both state organizations, print and electronic media, and non-state ones, as well as teachers of the journalism departments of three higher schools.
International experts Dmitry Strovsky (Israel) and Gulnura Toralieva (Kyrgyzstan) familiarized the audience with modern structural approaches in the field of communications, the principles of relations between the organization and the media, genres and criteria of media messages.
The second day of the seminar, September 8, will be devoted to the study of the topic using the examples of Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Israel, Finland, the USA and other countries, forms of interaction between government agencies and the media.
Participants will also work out practical tasks and analyze the results obtained, receive recommendations from experienced colleagues.
