Entrepreneurs put into operation schools for 5,500 schoolchildren


On the first day of the new academic year, seven modern schools were opened in cities, districts and villages of Akhal and Lebap regions of Turkmenistan, in which 5,440 schoolchildren will be able to receive education, the official Turkmen press writes today.
Secondary school No. 42 in the village of Babarap, Gokdepe district of Akhal region was named in honour of Annak Sahetmuradov, an active organizer of educational work, a participant in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. It will be able to provide education for 960 schoolchildren.
Also in Akhal region, schools were commissioned in the city of Anau - for 720 schoolchildren, Ak bugday district - for 960 children, Babadaykhan settlement of Tejen region - for 640 children and Babadaykhan district - for 960 children.
Modern schools were opened in the settlements of Chovdur and Lebaby of Sayat district of Lebap region of Turkmenistan. Each of them will be able to give education for 600 children.
All educational institutions were built by private enterprises - members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. As part of the celebrations on the occasion of the opening of new schools, first-graders on behalf of President Berdimuhamedov were also presented with Bilimli laptops produced by JV "Agzybirlik tilsimaty".
