Heads of transport industries of Turkmenistan are reprimanded


President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov today has issued severe reprimands to the heads of the transport sector of Turkmenistan – Vice-Premier, Bayramgeldy Ovezov, who oversees the transport complex in the government, Dovran Saburov, Cairman of the Turkmen Airlines Agency, and Agamurad Hayytmuradov, Chairman of the Turkmen Sea and River Routes Agency. The reprimands “for improper performance of official duties, shortcomings in work” were voiced during a meeting on the development of the country’s transport and communication complex. At the meeting, the outcomes in the transport and communications industries for 2020 were summed up. It was noted that, despite the positive dynamics of indicators of the complex as a whole, the impact of the global economic crisis affected the activity of communications, primarily air traffic. The state is taking all measures to support them, while the leaders of the transport industries also should find effective ways to adapt to the new conditions. Berdimuhamedov expressed dissatisfaction with the results of the work carried out in this area and pointed out there are available resources to increase the efficiency of this complex.
